Every breath counts.

Lung disease patients have been underserved for too long. It’s time they have the same access to diagnostic and management tools as every other major chronic condition.

Health problems

Lung disease affects more lives than people realize

Asthma, COPD, and other respiratory conditions impact hundreds of millions of people worldwide—yet access to timely diagnosis and ongoing management still lags behind other major chronic diseases.

mti as a solution

What if lung function testing was no longer a barrier?

For too long, spirometry has been confined to specialty labs—limited by cost, access, and the need for trained personnel. The result is a system that often reaches patients too late. An estimated 86% of COPD patients are already at moderate to severe stages by the time they are diagnosed—not because the disease is difficult to detect, but because testing has not been accessible.

MTI changes that by rethinking how and where respiratory testing is delivered. Our platform extends lung function testing beyond the lab—bringing it into primary care, urgent care, employer clinics, the home, and clinical research environments.

We connect devices, software, and guided workflows into a single, decentralized platform that enables consistent testing across settings. With real-time, avatar-assisted coaching and standardized protocols, testing becomes less dependent on operator expertise and more consistent from patient to patient and site to site.

The result is a more reliable testing experience for clinicians, earlier answers for patients, and cleaner, more consistent data for clinical trial partners.

Who we are

MTI is a respiratory technology company focused on making high-quality lung function testing more accessible, more consistent, and easier to deliver across healthcare and clinical research.

We connect devices, software, and guided workflows into a single platform that supports respiratory testing in clinic and at home—helping providers, health systems, pharmaceutical sponsors, and CROs expand access, reduce variability, and generate data they can trust.

Our Mission

To expand access to reliable respiratory testing by enabling consistent, high-quality lung function assessment wherever patients are—supporting earlier diagnosis, better care decisions, and more dependable clinical data.

Our Vision

A future where respiratory testing is no longer limited by setting, staff, or infrastructure—where every patient has access to timely, high-quality assessments, and every clinician and study team has the data they need to act with confidence.

the gaps

Chronic respiratory disease remains one of the leading causes of death globally.

The Diagnosis Gap

A significant portion of COPD patients are diagnosed without confirmatory spirometry testing. Without objective lung function data, diagnosis is delayed or uncertain—and treatment decisions are often made without a clear baseline.

The Access Gap

Spirometry has traditionally been limited to settings that require specialized equipment, trained staff, and lack scheduling availability. For many patients—particularly in rural or underserved populations—this leads to long wait times for a test that takes only minutes to perform.

The Treatment Gap

Once diagnosed, most respiratory patients are not routinely monitored between visits. Changes in lung function often go undetected until symptoms worsen, leading to avoidable exacerbations and hospitalizations.

The Research Gap

Respiratory clinical trials continue to rely on fragmented, site-dependent testing models. This introduces variability in data quality, increases operational burden, and limits the ability to scale decentralized or hybrid trial designs.

Not a linear pathway.
A continuous cycle

MTI connects respiratory testing across research, diagnosis, and care—creating a continuous flow of data that improves outcomes at every stage.
